REENTRY SERVICES

Our 1-year program helps formerly incarcerated individuals integrate back into their community

We guide and support formerly incarcerated individuals and help them reconnect with their community, obtain stable incomes, self-sufficiency, and create lasting social and financial resilience.

WERE YOU FORMERLY INCARCERATED?

Is Welcome Home right for you?

While we will provide up to 1-year of rental assistance while you seek employment and other sources of income to sustain housing after our support ends, to achieve long term self-sufficiency, you must be willing to work with our staff or others to:

1. Find employment

2. Address legal, transportation, and other needs that might impede long term employment or housing

3. Learn to budget money, use credit wisely, and open a savings bank account

Program is open to individuals released from prison or jail within the past 2 years and unhoused or unstably housed since. As such, you must provide your CDC number and/or parole or probation contact information. Additionally you will be asked to submit to review of your criminal record and credit record, not to weed you out of our program, but to identify and address any issues that may prevent you from becoming self-sufficient in housing.

COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT

Reentry Services

Relatively small things that can have a dramatic effect on an individual's successful reentry into their community. Small fees, bus fare, minor medical expenses, cost of workbooks, etc. can become roadblocks. Likewise, a few minutes spent teaching someone how to open a bank account or filling out an application for benefits can empower someone to pursue the more difficult things.

We designed our comprehensive 1-year program to address both the major aspects of re-entry (housing, employment, transportation, food, clothing, & legal) and the important details that are easily and often overlooked.
